Bandari Maritime Academy (BMA) Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Eric Katana, today, hosted Kenya’s Ambassador to Cuba, H.E. Everlyne Karisa, during a courtesy call at the Academy.
The visit provided an opportunity to strengthen collaboration between the Academy and the Embassy in advancing Kenya’s Maritime training agenda and exploring global partnerships.

Discussions centered on capacity building, international exposure for cadets, and fostering stronger ties in Maritime education between Kenya and other nations, particularly Cuba.
Ambassador Karisa commended the Academy for its pivotal role in nurturing Maritime professionals who are key to driving Kenya’s Blue Economy agenda.
Dr. Katana, on his part, reaffirmed the Academy’s commitment to equipping seafarers with world-class skills, while also seeking opportunities for global linkages that would enhance training and employment prospects for Kenyan youth.
