Hundreds visit Bandari Maritime Academy stand at Nairobi International ASK Trade Fair 2026

By John Ndegwa / BMA

Hundreds of visitors continue to flock to the Bandari Maritime Academy (BMA) exhibition stand at the ongoing Nairobi International ASK Trade Fair 2026, where the Academy is showcasing its maritime education and training programmes while creating awareness about opportunities in the maritime and Blue Economy sectors.

The exhibition, currently underway in Nairobi, provides a platform for BMA officials to engage prospective students, parents, industry stakeholders and members of the public on the diverse career opportunities available within the maritime industry.

As Kenya intensifies efforts to harness the potential of the Blue Economy as a driver of economic growth, job creation and sustainable development, the Academy is playing a key role in encouraging young people to explore maritime careers and acquire relevant professional skills.

Through interactive engagements, visitors are being sensitized on the Academy’s academic and professional programmes, including Nautical Science, Marine Engineering, Maritime Transport and Logistics, as well as various specialized maritime safety and technical courses.

The engagements also provide an opportunity to highlight BMA’s mandate of developing competent maritime human resources to support the growth of Kenya’s maritime sector and the wider Blue Economy.

Members of the public, particularly young people aspiring to pursue careers in the maritime industry, are encouraged to visit the BMA exhibition stand for information on available programmes, admission requirements and career pathways.
