Bandari Maritime Academy (BMA) has used the ongoing Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) Show in Mombasa County to mentor high school students on maritime training and career opportunities.
Among the schools that visited the BMA stand are Bahari Girls National School from Kilifi County and Miritini Complex Secondary School from Mombasa County.
The initiative aims to create awareness among learners about maritime training programmes ( Nautical Science, Marine Engineering, Maritime Transport and Logistics and short maritime courses), entry requirements and the diverse opportunities available within the Blue Economy.
Through such mentorship and career guidance, BMA is inspiring young people to explore maritime careers and equipping them with the knowledge they need to pursue opportunities in the maritime sector.
