Bandari Maritime Academy (BMA) has successfully concluded its participation in the 2026 Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) Show at the Mamboleo Showground in Kisumu County.
During the exhibition, BMA showcased its maritime training programmes and engaged residents from the Nyanza region on the vast opportunities available in the blue economy.
The Academy encouraged young people from the Lake Region to enrol in maritime training and equip themselves with skills that can unlock employment and entrepreneurship opportunities within the growing blue economy, particularly around Lake Victoria.
The exhibition also provided an opportunity for Beach Management Units (BMUs), fishermen’s associations, and other stakeholders in the fisheries and maritime sector to learn about maritime training programmes and the importance of professional certification in enhancing safety, skills, and career development.
