Bandari Maritime Academy Showcases Maritime Opportunities at the 2026 ASK Show in Kisumu

Kisumu County Deputy Governor H.E. Dr. Mathew Ochieng has officially opened the 2026 Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) Show at the Mamboleo Showground, where Bandari Maritime Academy (BMA) is among the exhibitors.

The Academy is using the exhibition to encourage young people, parents and guardians to embrace maritime education and training as a pathway to careers in the Blue Economy.

At the BMA exhibition stand, officers are engaging visitors on the Academy’s maritime programmes, admission requirements and internationally recognised certifications. They are also highlighting the diverse career opportunities available in shipping, ports, inland waterways, fisheries, cruise ships and other maritime-related sectors.

Parents and guardians are being encouraged to support their children in pursuing maritime courses that equip them with practical skills for employment in the growing Blue Economy.

Through its participation at the ASK Show, Bandari Maritime Academy continues to create awareness of maritime education and reaffirm its commitment to developing a skilled workforce to support Kenya’s Blue Economy agenda.
