BMA Showcases Maritime Training Opportunities at the 2026 Kisumu ASK Show

Bandari Maritime Academy (BMA) is participating in the 2026 Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) Show at Mamboleo Grounds in Kisumu County to inspire Kenyan youth, particularly those from the Lake Region, to pursue maritime education and training and seize the growing opportunities within the blue economy.

The five-day exhibition is being held at the Mamboleo Showground from 22nd to 26th July 2026.

At the exhibition, the Academy is showcasing its diverse maritime programmes, including Nautical Science, Marine Engineering, Maritime Transport and Logistics, maritime safety courses, and other industry-focused professional training designed to equip learners with practical skills for employment and entrepreneurship.

The exhibition also provides an opportunity for BMA to engage students, parents, teachers, and other stakeholders on the vast career prospects available in Kenya’s maritime sector.

By targeting the Lake Region, the Academy is encouraging young people to leverage their proximity to Lake Victoria and develop skills that can support inland water transport, fisheries, shipping, and other blue economy value chains.

Through its participation in the Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) Show, Bandari Maritime Academy continues to strengthen awareness of maritime careers and reaffirm its commitment to developing a skilled workforce that will drive Kenya’s blue economy agenda.
