Bandari Maritime Academy (BMA) is among key institutions participating in the ongoing Mombasa County Career Exploration, Skills Exhibition and Talent Show at the Serani Grounds in Mombasa.
The event, which brings together learning institutions, industry players, government agencies and young people from across the county, provides a dynamic platform for students to explore career pathways, acquire skills insights and interact with professionals from diverse sectors of the economy.

Students and parents visiting the BMA exhibition stand have had the opportunity to engage directly with maritime experts and stakeholders in shipping, port operations, logistics, marine engineering and the wider Blue Economy value chain. The interactions have offered practical guidance on training opportunities, certification requirements and emerging career prospects within the maritime industry.
Under the leadership of Chief Executive Officer Dr. Eric Katana, Bandari Maritime Academy continues to strengthen its visibility and outreach efforts in line with its mandate to train competent maritime professionals for Kenya and the region.

The BMA team at the exhibition, led by Exhibition Chairperson CPA Diana Owiti and Senior Career Services Officer Samuel Dube, is showcasing the Academy’s diverse programmes, including Maritime Transport and Port Operations, Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, Sea Survival, STCW courses and other internationally recognized certifications.
Speaking at the event, BMA officials emphasized the importance of equipping young people with industry-relevant skills to enhance employability and support the growth of Kenya’s Blue Economy.
