Bandari Maritime Academy (BMA) has received a valuable book donation from the Kenya Council of Emergency Medical Technicians (KCEMT), marking a significant boost to the Academy’s training resources in emergency response and Maritime safety.

The donation, comprising copies of the Emergency Care – Brady Manual, 10th Edition, was officially handed over by KCEMT Chairperson Eunice Wanjiku. She presented the materials to BMA’s Deputy Director, Maritime Transport and Operation Training, Enock Okemwa, who received them on behalf of the Academy’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Eric Katana.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, Okemwa expressed gratitude to KCEMT for their commitment to strengthening emergency medical training within the Maritime sector. He noted that the manuals will greatly enhance the Academy’s capacity to equip cadets and trainees with critical life-saving skills.

Wanjiku emphasized KCEMT’s dedication to supporting institutions that contribute to national safety and emergency response readiness. She reaffirmed the Council’s readiness to continue collaborating with BMA in capacity-building initiatives that enhance professional standards within the Maritime and emergency medical fields.
