Bandari Maritime Academy (BMA) Chairman of the Board, Eng. Lung’anzi Chai Mangale, together with the Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Eric Katana, hosted members of the Academy’s Board at the institution.
The visit provided an opportunity to officially welcome newly appointed board members and to engage them on the Academy’s strategic vision.
During the visit, the Board undertook a familiarization tour of the Academy’s facilities, including the ongoing construction of the state-of-the-art Maritime Survival Training and Certification Centre. The Centre is expected to strengthen BMA’s role as a leading institution in Maritime and Blue Economy training, not only in Kenya but across the region.
The engagement highlighted the Board’s commitment to supporting the Academy’s mission of producing highly skilled maritime professionals, aligning with the government’s agenda of unlocking opportunities in the Blue Economy.
The newly inducted members expressed their enthusiasm to contribute towards strengthening governance, advancing academic excellence, and expanding partnerships that will position Bandari Maritime Academy as a regional hub for Maritime education and training.
