In its continued efforts to enhance partnerships and collaborations, Bandari Maritime Academy (BMA) is widening its networks with regional and international stakeholders in Shipping, Maritime, and Blue Economy education and training.
This commitment was demonstrated today when a delegation from the Dar es Salaam Maritime Group (DMG) visited the Academy on a feasibility study tour. The visit aimed at exploring areas of collaboration in training, research and capacity building within the Maritime sector.

During the engagement, Enock Okwema, BMA’s Deputy Director for Maritime Transport and Port Operations Training, delivered a comprehensive presentation showcasing the Academy’s milestones, training capacity, and future plans. His presentation highlighted BMA’s role as a Centre of Excellence in Maritime training and its strategic position in advancing Kenya’s Blue Economy agenda.
The visiting team was led by Dr. Anselmi Anselmi, who commended the Academy’s achievements and expressed keen interest in forging sustainable partnerships that would strengthen maritime education and professional development across the region.
