It is with profound sadness and a deep sense of loss that I, on behalf of Bandari Maritime Academy, mourn the passing of Mr. Gichiri Ndua, a respected Maritime professional, mentor, and leader whose contribution to the sector remains immeasurable.
Mr. Ndua served with great distinction as the Managing Director of the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA), where he demonstrated visionary leadership and an unwavering commitment to excellence in port operations and national development. During his tenure, he also served as Principal of Bandari College, the precursor to Bandari Maritime Academy, where he laid a strong foundation for Maritime education and training in Kenya.
His dedication to building human capacity in the Maritime and Blue Economy sector has had a lasting impact on countless professionals who continue to serve in various capacities across the industry. Mr. Ndua will be fondly remembered for his humility, wisdom, and steadfast commitment to mentorship and institutional growth.
On behalf of the entire Bandari Maritime Academy fraternity, I extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. We join the Maritime community in honoring his enduring legacy and celebrating a life of service, integrity, and excellence.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
