President William Ruto has today officially opened this year’s Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) Mombasa International Show at the Mkomani Showground in Nyali, Mombasa County.

President Ruto who was accompanied by Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Nassir, Cabinet Secretary for Sports Salim Mvurya, and Speaker of the Senate Amason Kingi, underscored the importance of exhibitions in boosting economic growth, innovation, and skills development.
Bandari Maritime Academy (BMA) is among the key institutions showcasing at the show, with its exhibition stand attracting thousands of visitors.

The Academy is highlighting its wide range of courses designed to equip young people and professionals with Maritime, shipping, and Blue Economy skills that are in high demand locally and internationally.

According to BMA officials, the show offers a unique platform to engage potential students, industry stakeholders, and the public on opportunities within the maritime sector.
The Academy is also promoting its September 2025 modular intake, encouraging youths to embrace careers in Maritime engineering, navigation, shipping management, and related Blue Economy fields.
