President William Ruto officially opened the 2025 Nairobi International Trade Fair at Jamhuri Park, Nairobi, reaffirming the event’s role as a premier platform for innovation, knowledge-sharing, and showcasing the resilience of Kenya’s farmers and industries. The Trade Fair, which runs throughout the week, is also a hub for highlighting the boundless opportunities of a nation on the rise.

Among the key exhibitors is the Bandari Maritime Academy (BMA), Kenya’s Centre of Excellence in Shipping, Maritime, and Blue Economy Education and Training. Under the leadership of Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Eric Katana, the Academy is showcasing its specialized courses to thousands of visitors, including prospective students, parents, and Maritime stakeholders.
BMA’s presence at the Trade Fair underscores the Academy’s commitment to bridging the skills gap in the Maritime and Blue Economy sectors by preparing competent seafarers, Maritime professionals, and technical experts.

Visitors are being introduced to diploma and certificate programs in Nautical Science, Marine Engineering, and Maritime Transport & Logistics, as well as short professional courses aligned with international Maritime standards.
