Bandari Maritime Academy (BMA) continues to play a leading role in forging strategic partnerships with institutions in the Maritime, Shipping, and Blue Economy sectors across the region.
In line with this commitment, BMA Chief Executive Officer Dr. Eric Katana, accompanied by senior members of the Academy’s management team, undertook a benchmarking tour at the Tanzania Shipping Agencies Corporation (TASAC) headquarters in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

The BMA delegation was warmly received by TASAC Assistant Human Resources Officer, Happiness Greta Isaac, who represented the Director General Mohamed Malick Salum.
The visit underscores the shared vision between the two institutions to enhance regional cooperation in Maritime education and training, promote best practices, and explore areas of mutual benefit, including curriculum development, exchange programmes, regulatory alignment, and professional certification.
This benchmarking tour is part of BMA’s broader strategy to strengthen institutional capacity, align training standards with international Maritime conventions, and ensure the Academy remains a regional Centre of Excellence in Maritime, Shipping, and Blue Economy training.
