BMA Participates in the ASK Nakuru National Show

Bandari Maritime Academy (BMA), under the visionary leadership of CEO Dr. Eric Katana, was honoured to host the Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and Livestock Development, Hon. Mutahi Kagwe, at its exhibition stand during the ongoing ASK Nakuru National Agricultural Show in Nakuru County.
During his visit, CS Kagwe engaged with BMA Assistant Nautical Science trainer Winnie Nyambu and Diana Owiti, who eloquently briefed him on the Academy’s pivotal role in advancing Maritime education and training in Kenya.
Assistant Nautical Science trainer Nyambu highlighted the diverse career pathways available within the Shipping, Maritime and Blue Economy sectors ranging from seafaring and Marine engineering to Maritime logistics and port operations.
The interaction underscored the importance of youth empowerment through specialized technical training, in line with the government’s agenda of unlocking the potential of the Blue Economy for sustainable development and job creation.
BMA’s participation in the ASK Show reaffirms its commitment to creating awareness and providing industry-relevant skills that position Kenya as a regional hub for Maritime excellence. The Academy continues to align its programs with national and global development goals, while fostering innovation, environmental sustainability, and economic resilience within the maritime sector.
