Fifteen staff members from the Fire Fighting Department of the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) have successfully completed a four-month Firemanship Course at the Bandari Maritime Academy (BMA).

The intensive training program equipped participants with advanced firefighting techniques, emergency response skills, safety procedures, and practical knowledge essential for handling fire and safety incidents within port and maritime environments. The course forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen safety preparedness and operational efficiency within Kenya’s port facilities.
Bandari Maritime Academy, under the leadership of its Chief Executive Officer Dr. Eric Katana, continues to promote collaboration, professional partnerships, and capacity building within the maritime and logistics sectors. Through such specialized training programs, the academy plays a key role in developing skilled human capital and supporting career growth for maritime professionals.
