The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bandari Maritime Academy (BMA), Eng. Lung’anzi Chai Mangale, together with the Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Eric Katana, paid a courtesy call to Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) Managing Director Captain William Ruto, at the KPA headquarters in Mombasa.

The high-level meeting focused on strengthening existing partnership ties and exploring new areas of collaboration in advancing Maritime education, training, and skills development within Kenya’s Blue Economy sector.
Eng. Lung’anzi reaffirmed the Academy’s commitment to fostering strategic linkages with industry stakeholders such as KPA to ensure that Maritime training remains responsive to the evolving needs of the sector.
On his part, Captain Ruto emphasized the importance of continuous capacity building and expressed KPA’s readiness to support initiatives that enhance technical competence and professional excellence among seafarers and port professionals.
Also present during the visit was BMA Port Equipment Trainer, Loth Komora.
