Bandari Maritime Academy (BMA) continues to strengthen its collaboration with county governments and key stakeholders as part of its mission to create awareness and reach out to communities, potential students, and parents across the country.
Under the leadership of Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Eric Katana, the Academy is currently showcasing its diverse range of Maritime and Blue Economy courses at the 3rd Edition of the Kilifi Innovation and Business Summit 2025, taking place in Kilifi Town, Kilifi County.

This year’s summit, held under the theme “Leveraging on Mining, Green and Blue Economy Opportunities for Regional and National Development,” has brought together government agencies, industry players, innovators, and the private sector to explore sustainable solutions that drive Kenya’s economic growth.
BMA’s participation underscores its commitment to promoting Maritime education and training as a driver of the Blue Economy, preparing skilled professionals to meet the demands of the growing maritime industry.

The Academy’s team at the summit is led by Career Services Officer, Samuel Dube and Port Equipment Operations Trainer, Loth Komora, who are engaging attendees, sharing career guidance, and demonstrating the unique opportunities offered by BMA’s diploma and certificate programs in Nautical Science, Marine Engineering, and Maritime Transport & Logistics.
