Bandari Maritime Academy is proudly hosting the ongoing “Kenya Foreign Policy Mashinani” Coast Edition campaign, an initiative led by the State Department for Foreign Affairs under the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs.

Delivering welcoming remarks on behalf of the Academy’s CEO, Dr. Eric Katana, Senior Principal Trainer, Nautical Science Maj (Rtd) Frankline Toniok reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to strengthening partnerships that support Kenya’s maritime sector and national development agenda.
Forum discussions centered on enhancing collaboration within the Blue Economy, a strategic pillar for coastal communities and the country’s broader economic growth.
Representing the Principal Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Korir Singoei, Ambassador Josphat Maikara, Director General for Political and Diplomatic Affairs, described Foreign Policy Mashinani as a pioneering, innovative, and people-centered outreach programme aimed at bringing Kenya’s foreign policy closer to its citizens.

County leaders, including Lamu Governor Issa Timamy and Kilifi Deputy Governor Flora Chibule, graced the event, underscoring its regional significance.
Deputy Director for Maritime Education and Training, Chief Eng. Titus Kilonzi, shared a light moment with Deputy Governor Chibule, reflecting the collaborative spirit of the forum.
