The Bandari Maritime Academy (BMA) exhibition team has successfully concluded its participation in the 11th Our Ocean Conference held in Mombasa.
Throughout the conference, the team showcased the Academy’s training programmes, mandate, and contribution to the development of Kenya’s maritime sector. Visitors to the BMA exhibition booth were taken through the institution’s various academic and professional courses, maritime skills development initiatives, and opportunities available for aspiring seafarers and maritime professionals.

The exhibition attracted a wide range of stakeholders, including government officials, maritime industry experts, development partners, students, and members of the public, who expressed keen interest in maritime education and career opportunities offered by the Academy.
BMA’s participation provided an important platform to create awareness about the institution’s role in building a skilled maritime workforce to support the growth of the blue economy. The engagement also enabled the Academy to interact with potential partners and stakeholders committed to advancing sustainable ocean governance and maritime development.
The conference brought together global leaders, policymakers, researchers, industry players, and civil society organizations to discuss practical solutions for protecting the ocean while promoting sustainable economic opportunities.
