Bandari Maritime Academy Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Eric Katana, on Friday hosted the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Eng. Lung’anzi Chai Mangale, during a courtesy call at the Academy.
The visit provided a platform for discussions on strengthening governance, advancing academic excellence, and expanding the Academy’s role in the Maritime and Blue Economy sector.
Eng. Mangale commended the institution’s progress in positioning itself as a regional hub for Maritime education and training, citing improvements in curriculum modernization, industry partnerships, and student welfare.
Dr. Katana reaffirmed the Academy’s commitment to delivering globally competitive training tailored to the evolving needs of the Shipping and Maritime industry.
The courtesy call underscored the Board’s close collaboration with management in steering the Academy’s vision of becoming a premier Center of Excellence in Shipping, Maritime, and Blue Economy education and training.
Senior members of the management team present included Deputy Director Evans Oyieyo, Deputy Director Maritime Education and Training Chief Eng. Titus Kilonzi, Corporate Secretary and Head of Legal Services Said Gongo, Registrar Dr. Irene Mugo, and Administrator Mathias Chishambo.
