Bandari Maritime Academy has hosted members of the Youth Transition Initiative (YTI) attending the 11th Our Ocean Conference 2026 for an educational field visit aimed at exposing young people to opportunities within the maritime sector and the Blue Economy.
During the visit, the YTI team toured the Academy’s modern maritime training facilities, including the bridge simulator, engine room simulator, and maritime safety and navigation training facilities. The participants also interacted with cadets and instructors, gaining valuable insights into maritime careers, shipping operations, marine engineering, logistics, port management, and seafaring opportunities.
The experience provided a practical understanding of the maritime industry and highlighted the diverse career pathways available to young people seeking to contribute to the growth of the Blue Economy.
